OUR STORY
It's so nice to see you here! We are the co-founders of Silk Apothecary, Jessica and Abbey... We are also two sisters with ichthyosis vulgaris.Â
Those with ichthyosis or even severely dry skin know the stigma that comes with it. We were bullied a lot as kids, and told "just use lotion" *insert eye-roll here* and we were often called "grandma hands"
We understand those with ichthyosis need a product tailored to their skin type. Something that doesn't feel so sterile looking... As if it came from a pharmacy.

Sometimes it takes someone who has this condition to make a quality product for it.Â
We have tried lotion after lotion with very little luck. That's when we came up with this crazy idea... What if WE could make the lotion that our community so desperately needs?

Ever since we both agreed to give it a shot- We've never looked back.
